While there is only one species of Venus flytrap, Dionaea musciplua, we have developed a wide variety of cultivars. These cultivated varieties vary in color, size, and trap shape. 'Dente' is a cultivar that turned the teeth of the traps from long luscious "eyelashes" on the wild type flytrap to short teeth!
Venus flytraps are a beginner friendly plant, the care instructions for which can be found here. They do require a dormant period to ensure healthy plants, information on how best to achieve that can be found here. In most of the US, this can easily be achieved by simply leaving them outdoors!
All carnivorous plants are pet safe, so no worries here! These plants are much more dangerous to insects.
Photos are representative and some natural variation should be expected. Plants will be shipped bare root and are suitable for a 3 to 4 inch pot.
