Air plants are a classic plant for those who dislike dirt! Fast becoming a fantastic addition to any modern home, these live plants are low maintenance and easily kept alive in a terrarium. Misting every few days is suggested, as well as an occasional soak for about 30 minutes. When soaking is done, shake out any excess water and allow to dry upside down for at least 4 hours. For more detailed information, visit the blog post entitled "Air Plants- Tillandsia." An information card will also be sent with your order.
Tillandsia albida is native to Mexico on the Mexican plateau in xeric scrub where they tend to grow on rocks more often than plants. Because they grow in a dry area, they do tolerate more neglect than the average air plant. I would suggest soaking this air plant once every two months due to its adaptations to dry areas.
