Drosera tokaiensis is a carnivorous plant- meaning it EATS MEAT! D. tokaiensis, like all Drosera (Sundews), lure and catch insects with their sticky dew. Many kinds of insects will stop by for a drink only to be trapped in a sticky mess!
This species is a natural hybrid and flowers prolifically. While dormancy is not required, if subjected to cooler temperatures it has the ability to go dormant. To avoid this, keep in temperatures above 40*F. Keep in full sun and in a dish of distilled or rain water (as seen in last photo) and they will thrive! The more direct sunlight, the redder the plants will be. An information sheet will be sent with your order.
Please note: the last photo is for a display of what will happen with proper care and lighting. That plant is part of my personal collection and not for sale.
