Florida Ghost philodendrons sure are a unique variety. Not only in leaf shape, but new leaves emerge a ghostly white and fade to a mint green, eventually maturing into the dark green philodendrons are known for. As the plant matures, if allowed to climb with support of a trellis or moss pole, the leaf lobes will become even more pronounced. Under the leaves, the petioles hide a nice pop of red! The white coloration of new leaves can easily burn if grown outdoors or under strong grow lights. Keep in shade, dappled shade, or afternoon shade outdoors and at least 1 foot away from grow lights.
Like other plants in the Aroid family, philodendron are unfortunately not pet safe. They can cause mouth irritation and GI upset if ingested. If included in a terrarium or bioactive enclosure, tropical animals will use them to climb and hide.
Plants will ship bare root, are suitable for 4 inch pots and may vary slightly from photos, depending on available stock.
