Nepenthes is a genus of carnivorous plants that are much more commonly known as tropical pitcher plants. These plants are incredibly interesting and easy to care for, as well as one of the few carnivorous plants that can be kept indoors without supplemental light! Nepenthes do best in most household light conditions. Click here for detailed care instructions. A care sheet will also be sent with every purchase.
This variety of Nepenthes was achieved by crossing Nepenthes lowii with Nepenthes ventricosa to achieve a plant with a similar appearance to the famous "toilet pitcher" produced by N. lowii with much easier care to make it more friendly for beginners.
Nepenthes have to be watered with distilled, rain, or reverse osmosis water. Tap, well, spring, and most bottled water will cause burns to their sensitive roots. Keep this variety in temperatures above 50F. Should the plant need to be repotted, be sure to use carnivorous plant soil which can be purchased here.
This plant will ship potted in a 2 inch nursery pot.
