The leaves of this echeveria appear as if they have been folded in on themselves to make small tube-like trumpets. When grown in bright light, the leaves will flush an attractive pink. Like other succulents, Echeveria do best when placed in an area with bright light and watered only when the soil is bone dry. For this plant, you can wait until the leaves are just barely soft to the touch. Be sure to saturate the soil when watering, and the leaves will return to their firm, succulent, state.
Echeveria, like many other succulents, are pet safe, so no worries when it comes to our furry friends! Their stout size makes them a perfect addition to arid reptile enclosures. Should your animal knock a leaf off, there is a potential for the leaf to grow a new plant where it lays, though they are fairly sturdy.
