Formerly Sanseveria trifasciata, AKA Snake plant, mother-in-laws tongue
Excellent plant for beginners! Tolerates low light conditions, but will thrive, quickly grow, and possibly flower in bright indirect light. Water occasionally and thoroughly when soil is dry at least two inches deep. Snake plants like well draining soil such as a cactus mix.
Wait at least two weeks to disturb the plant. If it is showing signs of stress (i.e. yellowing leaves, drooping when not thirsty, leaf drop, etc.) wait until the plant regroups from shipping and shows new growth before repotting.
