Dianthus, also called carnations, are a varied genus. Dianthus 'Pink Kisses' hardy in zones 5a-9b and perennial, meaning it comes back every year! They're a prolific bloomer with a lovely floral aroma. The foliage is evergreen and short, staying only a few inches tall and spreading to about a 12-16 inches wide. They're perfect for lining walkways or borders, and bloom in springtime. Achieves the best effect when mass planted in the landscape. To prolong blooming, pinch off the old, spent flowers.
