Buddha Bellies are a unique plant in the spurge family, native to the neotropics of Central America. These plants bloom for a large portion of the year, and can grow up to 3 feet tall. If your buddha belly drops its leaves, not to worry! They go through a dry dormancy where they will drop leaves to retain moisture, then when the rains (or watering cans) return, the flowers and leaves will return with them.
This plant is considered toxic to people and pets, with seeds especially containing a toxin similar to that of ricin. Keep this plant away from curious kids and pets. The sticky latex sap makes this plant risky for reptiles, as well.
Plants will ship bare root and are suitable for a 4 to 6 inch pot.
