Syngonium are some of the most hardy houseplants around and are a great choice for beginners and experienced growers alike. They are readily grown in a wide variety of conditions, from bright indirect light to bathrooms with one window. Water this plant when it is about 50-75% dry.
Members of the Syngonium genus contain insoluble calcium oxalates, meaning they are not pet safe. Excessive consumption can result in GI upset and swelling. These calcium oxalates are not a concern for reptiles or amphibians, and Syngonium make a fantastic addition to tropical enclosures. The leaves grow densely enough to support mature geckos and frogs, yet also provide a place for them to hide.
