Aloe vera is the most popular species of Aloe well known for its usefulness in healing burns and lesser known for its edibility, but still finds its way into popular drinks! Aloe has the potential to grow large and produce pups, or small offshoots from its roots. With its moderate to fast growth, this makes it perfect for its usefulness in the kitchen and in the first aid kit!
Aloe, like other succulents, should be placed in an area where it receives bright light and water only when the soil is completely dry.
The skin on aloe leaves can be toxic if ingested in large quantities. This makes them not pet friendly. Younger aloe plants can be planted in arid reptile enclosures, but be mindful that the spines of Aloe vera leaves can become hard and sharp, though this tends to happen when the plants begin to outgrow their enclosures.
Plants will be shipped bare root and are suitable for a 4 inch pot. Photos are representative and some natural variation should be expected.
