The leaves of this Alocasia truly look like stingrays! The leaf pinches sharply to a fine point, which continues on for a few inches. The petioles are spotted and attractive.
While members of the Alocasia genus, like other Aroids, have insoluble calcium oxalates, which make them unsafe for cats or dogs, as they cause mouth irritation and GI upset, they are a fantastic addition to tropical bioactive enclosures! Reptiles can tolerate these crystals and often will leave the plants alone. Their leaves are thick enough to hold mature geckos and most frogs.
Plants will be shipped bare root and are suitable for a 6 inch pot. Photos are representative and some variation should be expected.
