This cultivar is one of the largest varieties of Venus flytraps! Mammoth is favored for its many large traps grown in a tight rosette. There is only one species of Dionaea muscipula, or Venus flytrap, but thanks to people, we have bred a variety of shapes and sizes!
Venus flytraps are a beginner friendly plant, the care instructions for which can be found here. They do require a dormant period to ensure healthy plants, information on how best to achieve that can be found here. In most of the US, this can easily be achieved by simply leaving them outdoors!
