Garlic chives are slightly different than your typical chives. They have a mild garlic flavor with hints of onion, flat leaves, and white flowers. They are easy to grow from seed in the cool season, and can even be grown on your windowsill indoors! They also do well in temperate zones as a hardy perennial. Garlic chives are often used in Asian and French dishes.

Plant 6 seeds 1/4" deep and 6" apart. Harvest chives when 8-10" tall by cutting off the leaves at the base. Water and trim often to delay blooming. Seeds will germinate in 7-14 days.
