This is one of many sought after philodendrons, but some call it the philodendron of philodendron! They exhibit long leaves with deep lobes, creating an exceptionally unique leaf shape. Like other philodendron, this is still an easy to care for plant and is beginner friendly. For best results, place your philodendron in an area where it receives moderate to bright light and water when 50-75% dry. For more detailed care information, click here. Philodendron longibolatum also produces extrafloral nectaries, or nectar producing areas without flowers. They do this when they are properly cared for and thriving. That being said, it can make your plant sticky! These nectaries are located along the petiole and occasionally on the stem.
Like other plants in the aroid family, these plants are unfortunately not pet safe. They can cause mouth irritation and GI upset if ingested. If included in a terrarium or bioactive enclosure, tropical animals will use them to climb and hide.
Plants will ship bare root, are suitable for 4 inch pots and may vary slightly from photos, depending on available stock.
