Network Calathea are yet another Calathea that has gotten a name change in recent years. Previously known as Calathea musaica, now known scientifically as Goeppertia kegeljanii, still commonly called the Network Calathea.

Calathea are part of the prayer plant family, Marantaceae. They even share the characteristic moving leaves. During the day, their leaves are down to catch the sun's rays, but at night, they fold upward, almost as if they are folding their hands in prayer. Prayer plants can tolerate low light, but appreciate bright, indirect light and should be watered when they are about halfway dry. For more detailed care information, click here

Everything in Marantaceae is pet safe, so no worries here! They fit perfectly into a tropical reptile or amphibian enclosure. For nocturnal animals, they provide safe spaces to sleep and get out of the way for the late night zoomies!

Plants will be shipped bare root and are suitable for a 4 inch pot. Photos are representative and some natural variation should be expected.
