This snake plant gets its name from the golden hue of its leaves and the short rosette it grows in, resembling that of a bird's nest. Previously classified as Sansevieria trifasciata 'Golden Hahnii,' this plant now bears the name Dracaena trifasciata 'Golden Hahnii.'
