Elephant bushes are native to South Africa north to Mozambique where it grows in dry, sunny conditions. Some will use the elephant bush to create a unique, beginner friendly bonsai! This is also an edible plant with leaves rich in vitamin C, though most keep it for its beauty in a houseplant collection. As with all succulents, the key to having them thrive is to place them in an area with bright light and water only when the soil is completely dry.
Elephant bush is pet safe, so no worries here! This plant will also do well in enclosures for arid reptiles, like leopard geckos and bearded dragons. In some cases, it will need to be trimmed to stay properly sized for its enclosure, but that is easy to do! Just choose a spot on the branch and snip!
Plants will ship bare root and are suitable for a 4 inch pot.
