It's easy to see where String of Turtles gets its name... Their leaves look like turtle shells! String of Turtles, or Peperomia prostrata, is an epiphytic vine native to Equador. They may often be put in the succulent sections of many nurseries, but they are tropical and prefer evenly moist soils. For more detailed care information, click here

Peperomia are pet safe! No danger here when it comes to our furry friends. Peperomia are a staple when it comes to tropical bioactive enclosures for reptiles and amphibians. They are tolerant of much, from destructive geckos to wet substrate required of some frogs. String of Turtles will either trail down from a mounted pot or background, or act as a groundcover if planted on the soil.

Plants will be shipped in a 4 inch pot. Photos are representative and some natural variation should be expected.
