Living stones in the genus Lithops are very unique little plants! They're native to rocky deserts of Southern Africa where their appearance is no accident. They have evolved to look like true stones to avoid the herbivores in the desert! They are a little unusual when it comes to their care, but have no fear! A care sheet is available here. Lithops are pet safe. They will do well in extremely dry portions of arid animal enclosures, like uromasyx, leopard geckos, and more.
