Native to Eastern and Central North America Known as oxeye sunflower, oxeye daisy or false sunflower with the botanical name Heliopsis helianthoides, this gorgeous flower grows up to 5 feet tall. Beautiful, prolific yellow flowers feed many of your local and native pollinators and bring a gorgeous focal point to your landscape. The seeds will feed native wildlife year after year. Songbirds, such as chickadees and goldfinches, will stop to feed on the seeds frequently. Bees, butterflies, and many more pollinators will visit the flowers while they bloom from spring through summer. Does best in full sun and tolerates a wide variety of soils. This plant will produce plenty of flowers to be cut and brought inside while still leaving enough for pollinators to gorge themselves on!

This plant will be shipped as dormant roots. Roots should be planted upon arrival and watered. If planted in fall, new shoots are unlikely to develop until next spring.
