Nepenthes is a genus of carnivorous plants that are much more commonly known as pitcher plants. They are an incredibly interesting and easy to care for plant, as well as one of the few carnivorous plants that can be kept indoors without supplemental light! This variety of Nepenthes was achieved by crossing Nepenthes ampullaria and Nepenthes spectabilis x ventricosa.
Nepenthes have to be watered with distilled, rain, or reverse osmosis water. Tap, well, spring, and most bottled water will cause burns to their sensitive roots. Keep this variety in temperatures above 60F.
