Also called Calamansi or kalamansi, this is a staple of Filipino cuisine! When ripe, the small fruit will be green and soft. If the color ripens to a yellow orange color, some say it is too ripe, while others prefer the flavor. They will mature into a shrubby tree. They can tolerate quite cold temperatures for citrus, cold hardy in zones 9a-11. In colder areas, they can be overwintered in a pot indoors. Plants will be sent bare root and are suitable for a 1 to 2 gallon pot.
