Dragon's Breath alocasia are unique in its genus with a soft, silvery shade to its foliage. As the leaves grow and mature, they gain an almost scale-like texture to them.
While members of the Alocasia genus, like other Aroids, have insoluble calcium oxalates, which make them unsafe for cats or dogs, as they cause mouth irritation and GI upset, they are a fantastic addition to tropical bioactive enclosures! Reptiles can tolerate these crystals and often will leave the plants alone. Mature plants can hold small geckos and frogs, but Dragon's Breath alocasia are more delicate than others.
Plants will be shipped bare root and are suitable for a 4 inch pot. Photos are representative and some variation should be expected.
