Cape sundews are one of the most beginner friendly plants out there! They are a wonderful place to start with carnivorous plants, as well as with plant care in general. They do best with the most sun possible, but will also thrive on a windowsill or under grow lights. This carnivore will help to control fungus gnats, fruit flies, and occasionally house flies. The leaves and tentacles will curl around the prey to make sure the plant has a good hold. After shipping, it will take some time for the dew to reappear.
Cape sundews will send up pink blooms on an arching stem that stands high above the leaves to avoid the risk of eating its pollinators.
